Procedure to follow

You can file an application for a refund if you own or lease a new or used all-electric vehicle, a plug-in hybrid vehicle, a low-speed electric vehicle or an electric motorcycle and you have purchased and installed a charging station for home use at your home.

The following information must appear on the invoice or proof of purchase of your charging station:

The invoice or proof of installation costs for the charging station must include a detailed description of the work done and materials used.

Completion of the work

In the province of Québec, the Building Code requires all electrical work to be carried out by an electrical contractor with a licence Ce lien ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre. from the Régie du bâtiment du Québec. However, you cannot claim installation expenses if your home is already equipped with a 240V electrical outlet that complies with current regulations.

ATTENTION: Only the owner of the electric vehicle can submit an application for a charging station refund.

Procedure

Here is the procedure to follow to file your application:

* Transition énergétique Québec will use the individual’s SIN to produce a Relevé 27 “Paiements du gouvernement” tax slip. Individuals are required by law to provide their social insurance number when a tax slip must be issued in their name.

If you are unable to use the online service, you may submit your application by mail, using the PDF form . A copy of the form, plus copies of the required supporting documents, must be sent to:
