Extension of the Roulez vert Program

Good news! The Roulez vert Program continues. The maximum amount of $8,000 provided upon purchase of an electric vehicle will be maintained at least until March 31, 2022.

Changes in force since January 1, 2021

Several changes have been made to the normative framework for the Roulez vert Program, including:

Financial assistance for vehicles:

  • Financial assistance for non-rechargeable hybrid vehicles and low-speed vehicles will be abolished. However, enhanced financial assistance for low-speed vehicles has been available through the Transportez vert Program since the spring of 2020. Check it out! This link will open in a new window.

Financial assistance for charging stations:

  • Proof of installation is now required in order to obtain $600 in financial assistance for the purchase and installation of a home charging station.
  • Only expenses incurred after January 1, 2019, are eligible for the Roulez vert program under the Charging station in the workplace component.

Since November 1, 2020, the Roulez vert government program is administered by the ministère de l'Énergie et des Ressources naturelles. The normative framework for the program approved by the board of directors of Transition énergétique Québec remains in effect.
