Eligibility requirements

Here is a summary of the conditions governing eligibility for the Roulez vert rebate for new electric vehicles. Please note that the program’s Normative Framework  takes precedence over the website content.

To be eligible for the rebate, the new vehicle must:

Moreover, the vehicle must be registered in the applicant's name. 

Demonstration vehicles used by car dealers may also be eligible under the program upon their resale. Please consult the program’s Normative Framework  at this subject if necessary.

Purchase or Lease

Electric vehicle rebates are also available for long-term leases.

The amount of the rebate is calculated based on the term of the lease, which must be at least 12 months. A 48-month or longer lease gives the lessee the right to a rebate equal to the purchase rebate.

Three electric vehicles in the same year

If you wish, in the same year, to file a rebate application for three all-electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles, each vehicle must have been registered in Québec for at least 36 months.
If the vehicles were not purchased but were leased from a car dealer, the lease period for each vehicle must be at least 36 months.
