Important notice

Application of Roulez vert program terms and conditions eased due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic

Since April 1, 2020, vehicles with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) above $60,000 are no longer eligible for financial assistance under the Roulez vert program.

However, given the COVID-19 pandemic, Transition énergétique Québec will accept rebate applications from participants whose vehicle delivery or registration date has been postponed until after April 1, 2020. To take advantage of this exception, participants simply need to submit a document demonstrating that the delivery was scheduled before April 1. For more details, consult the FAQ.

Extension of the Roulez vert program

Good news! Funding for the Roulez vert program has been extended to March 31, 2026. It will be funded by $1.38 billion in investments announced in the 2020-2021 budget of the Québec government.

Modification of the maximum manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP)

Reminder – Vehicles registered on or after April 1, 2020, whose manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) is over $60,000 are no longer eligible for financial assistance under the Roulez vert program.

The registration date, not the purchase date, is used to apply this criterion.

About this program

The Roulez vert program for all-electric used vehicles has been available since April 18, 2019, as a follow-up to the used electric vehicle pilot project, which was in effect from April 2017 to March 2019 and whose conditions were in force until April 17, 2019.

To be eligible for a rebate, a new vehicle must be registered in the name of the applicant no later than December 31, 2020. Participants can, however, file their rebate applications up to March 31, 2021. Note that the program may end earlier if available funds are exhausted.
